Monitor Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Set the \u201cActivate\u201d<\/strong> option to On and fill in the fields:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Name<\/strong> – enter a monitor name. It is advised to enter the type of the monitor and the domain name, for example, DKIM glockapps.co.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Type<\/strong> – select DKIM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Checks Interval<\/strong> – select the DKIM record checking interval. Free monitors work every 2 hours. The interval for paid monitors starts with 1 minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Region <\/strong>– select the region: US East (N. Virginia) or Europe (Ireland). GlockApps uses two servers located in two regions and using different IP addresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n DKIM Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Domain <\/strong>– enter the domain name without http:\/\/ or https:\/\/ for which you want to monitor the DKIM record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Selector<\/strong> – enter a DKIM selector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You can find the Selector in the domain DNS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Look for the DKIM records and notice the value containing \u2018._domainkey\u2019 in the Hostname field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Selector will be the first part before ._domainkey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For example, if the name is default._domainkey<\/em>, the Selector will be default<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tags<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Enter a tag for the monitor (optional). Tags allow you to filter the monitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Alerts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Set \u201cActivate\u201d<\/strong> to On if you want to receive alerts when an issue with the DKIM record is detected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Alerts can be sent via one or multiple channels set up in Alert Channels. The default channel is set up via email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Select the alert channel(s) and click “Save”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What Do the Monitor Statuses Mean?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n When the monitor is working, it shows the status of the DKIM record on the progressive bar. The green bar means the Up status. The red bar means the Down status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Click on the monitor name to get a detailed report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The meanings of the statuses are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Up<\/em> – the DKIM record exists<\/p>\n\n\n\n Down<\/em> – the DKIM record doesn\u2019t exist<\/p>\n\n\n\n Degraded<\/em> – the status changed from Up to Down\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Inactive<\/em> – the monitor is inactive<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Events<\/strong> panel provides a detailed log of the record checks. Here you can get the following information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Event<\/strong> – shows the record status for the indicated date and time (Up, Down, Degraded)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Date<\/strong> – shows the date and time of the event (record check)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Duration <\/strong>– shows how much time the event status lasts. The tool shows the event status one time per day if it didn\u2019t change. The time when the event status is shown is not fixed. It is calculated approximately.
